The SUFABU project builds on a previous SUFABU project that worked directly with family businesses and SMEs, helping them to pass the business on from one generation to the next. This time, SUpporting FAmily BUsinesses is designed to address the urgent need for small and medium-sized family businesses (SMEs) to adapt to the green transition. These businesses are the backbone of Europe’s economy, yet they often struggle to implement sustainable practices due to limited resources, time, and expertise.
Driven by the EU’s Green Deal and its ambitious goal of achieving climate neutrality by 2050, SUFABU responds directly to the challenge of transitioning SMEs to a more sustainable business model. The project aims to empower family businesses by providing tailored training, resources, and case studies that demonstrate the practical steps needed for a successful green transformation. By focusing on easy-to-understand, flexible training materials and real-life examples, SUFABU will facilitate the green transition, helping businesses implement changes that are both environmentally and economically sustainable.
