EmpowerHer was born out of the pressing challenges migrant women face in accessing meaningful employment opportunities in Europe. Despite their qualifications and potential, many of these women face significant barriers such as language barriers, limited access to tailored training and societal stereotypes. These barriers leave many underemployed or unable to access jobs that match their skills, limiting their economic independence and social inclusion. At the same time, Europe is facing a growing skills shortage across a range of industries, highlighting the need to engage diverse talent pools.
This project bridges the gap by addressing the specific challenges faced by migrant women while supporting Europe’s labour market needs. Through promoting their integration into the workplace, EmpowerHer not only unlocks the untapped potential of these women, but also strengthens societal cohesion and economic resilience. It emphasises the importance of personalised skills development and mutual understanding between employers and employees, setting the stage for a more inclusive and equitable future.
This innovative approach ensures that it responds not only to the pressing needs of migrant women, but also to wider social and economic imperatives, promoting both individual empowerment and collective progress across Europe.
